This editorial explains a portion of Republican, and Bush, political strategy and how to overcome their treasonous economics. Also, includes some extremely important suggestions to avoid SARS as well as other contagious diseases.
Mr. Bush has been conducting an unnecessary war against Iraq to kill Saddam Hussein, while simultaneously conducting a war against American jobs. This political strategy, create a problem, blame it on Democrats, then rescue us from the problem Republicans created, may reelected him, if he can con the American public into believing that he was actually looking out for the best interest of the American public while stabbing us in the back. A huge part of the Republican con artist strategy is their hired con artist radio talk shows, some of which are, Limbaugh, Boortz, and Hannity, plus the 1200 Fox radio and TV stations. We must keep in mind that con artists always sound more honest than honest people sound. They focus your attention on the wrong information diverting your attention from the important facts. The Bush strategy is based on the standard Republican philosophy that "The American public is too stupid to know when they are being taken". It is also the Republican "Trickle-down Theory" that if they shift all of the money to the rich the crumbs off the table will be all the workers need. These strategies kept the Republican Plutocracy stranglehold in Washington for the United States' first 156 years. The U.S. Labor Department statistics show that approximately 2 million jobs have been lost since Bush became president. This does not include the number of people who are no longer being counted as unemployed because they are no longer receiving unemployment compensation. Also, this does not include the population growth workers entering the job market. The current rate of 5.8 percent unemployment is clearly incorrect due to the number of people who are not being counted. The real unemployment percentage has to be at least 8 or 9 percent when all of the unemployed is included in the count. Bush deliberately created approximately one-half of the unemployed total by refusing to place military guards on commercial airline flights when the 9/11 terrorist attacks occurred. Immediately after the 9/11 attack, for the purpose of necessary national defense and to prevent an unemployment disaster, I made a recommendation to Washington that Army and Marines, trained in hand-to-hand combat, be placed immediately on all the airline flights to prevent fear of flying plus the financial damage and job loss that would, and did occur as a result of that refusal. Fourteen months elapsed before any Air Marshals began protecting airline flights due to the time involved in hiring and training the Air Marshals. This inexcusable unnecessary delay has virtually bankrupted the airline industry along with related businesses and more than 1,000,0000 jobs. The bill Republicans rammed through Congress in 1998 that repealed the law that prevented reckless and monopolistic public corporation mergers created the incentive for phony corporate profit reports to fund the merger spree with phony money. When these phony profits were exposed, several economic disasters had occurred. Many key managers and key personnel were laid off as a result of the mergers which then caused incompetent management of the acquired corporations resulting in huge losses, some bankruptcies, and a huge loss of jobs. This caused stock market prices to tumble causing losses to stock market investors and retirement funds in the trillions of dollars. The Republicans in Congress intentionally devastated the economy by repealing the said law, or do not understand real world economics. Clearly, the Republicans knew exactly what they were doing including the results that would and did happen because it fits their standard shell game strategy. Additionally, they conned some lesser knowledgeable Democrats into going along with their scheme. The over expectation of the benefits of the Internet caused some bankruptcies and job losses but would not have affected the unemployment percentage very much. If the airline industry and if the corporate merger spree had not happened, the Internet job losses would have been absorbed without causing a depression. Bush's first tax cut did not help the economy but it did follow the Republican "Borrow and Spend" fuzzy math voodoo economics and made a huge increase in the interest cost on the Reagan-Bush Sr. debt explosion. The interest cost on the 2002 Federal debt was $333 billion dollars, approximately the same as our national defense cost. Peculiarly, Bush allotted only $176.5 billion dollars to pay interest on the 2004 Federal debt interest cost, despite the fact that the cost will be much higher because he is exploding the Federal debt. Typical con artistry. Bush has been patting the military on the back, telling them he is going to do great things for them, then he cuts more than $14 billion dollars from the Veterans Administration budget. He was making big promises to the military while cutting their throats, effective when they leave the military by attempting to destroy the Veterans Administration. The same as he has done for education, homeland defense, etc. Unless we hate our children and grandchildren, we should repeal most of the first Bush tax cut and abandon Bush's proposed new fuzzy math voodoo economics tax cut for the super rich. Instead Washington should provide a temporary targeted tax credit to businesses for expanding and expenses used to create new jobs. This suggested tax credit should be designed to credit $1,000 for each additional $2,000 in tax revenue raised through each additional new job. This would not increase the Federal debt but instead would increase tax revenue and increase jobs, thus reducing unemployment. A foot note about SARS and contagious diseases: The news media and health officials advising everyone to wash their hands often is misleading and incorrect. The correct advice is: "Before touching with your hands, or any object, any opening into your body, wash your hands and make sure you do not have any germs, virus, or bacteria on your hands or under your finger nails . Also, if someone sneezes or blows their breath near your nose, hold your breath until you can move to clean air." This is how doctors can examine 30 to 50 sick patients per day without catching the patients' contagious diseases, and they don't wear facemasks. This advice should always be followed at all times to avoid all contagious diseases. If you agree with these recommendations, please send a copy of this editorial in full to your congressperson and U.S. Senators and request that they make a vigorous effort to accomplish these recommendations.
