Democrats Tiptoeing
       Around Bush Manure

                   By Jeff Goolsby, Editor

We lost the battle but we have not lost the war.  However, it seems almost as bad as if we had lost WWII to either the Germans or Japanese.  We let Illegal President Con Artist Thief Bush re-new the stranglehold on Washington that they maintained for the first 156 years after this country was formed.  The 156 year stranglehold super rich super poor agenda held wages to $2 per day with a 70 hour workweek and if their new stranglehold continues past 2004, we may see the same wages again.
It is ironic that Brazil, on October 27, 2002, switched from a Plutocracy to a labor sensitive Democracy attempting to follow the example of the United States.  Then 9 days later Bush duped enough voters to switch us from a semi Plutocracy to a total Plutocracy.  The definition of Plutocracy is "government of, by, and for the rich, which is the same definition for Republican, Political Conservative, and Political Hypocrite.
The Republican presidential control from 1968 through 1992 exploded our Federal debt from $360 billion dollars, with annual interest cost about $14 billion, to more than $4,000 billion (4 trillion) with annual interest cost about $240 billion dollars, a huge portion of our Federal income tax.
Bush is moving toward another Federal debt explosion at a fast gallop.  If Bush remains in total control for 8 years, the annual interest on his exploded Federal debt could reach the range of one trillion dollars.
Today, most other countries (China and India have almost one half the world population) have super rich super poor income status, some as low as $1.75 per week, no middle class income, and 30% unemployment.  Americans need to be informed and reminded that Democrats and the labor unions created our middle class income status after 1932 (Hoover Depression) and all of the benefits that 90% of Americans enjoy today.
We must develop strategies and teams to beat them in 2004.  We must examine our failed campaign strategies and lawmaker errors and make sure we do not make the same mistakes again.
The mistakes we made according to my analysis are as follows:
The Republicans are energetic and aggressive in trying to win and maintain control.  We as Democrats are apathetic and walk or crawl while Republicans are running.
Republicans are highly skilled at "Dirty Tricks".  They thoroughly investigate Democratic Primary candidates, support the weakest Democratic candidate, then if their chosen Democrat wins the primary, they drop their bombshell on the Democratic opponent a few days before the November election.
They are usually highly skilled con artists and very skillful at lying and making beautiful promises in their campaigns.  Their promises almost never produce the results they promise because they omit the critical facts in their promises.
Our candidates really goofed by not criticizing and focusing attention on Bush.  Bush ignored President Clinton's warning and recommendation to create a Department of Homeland Security prior to the 9/11 terrorist attack.  Bush was deafeningly silent about terrorism before 9/11 despite numerous warnings from the FBI and CIA.
There is a substantial amount of evidence indicating that he knew the terrorist were getting ready to strike and he was peculiarly  away from the White House on 9/11.  Yet, he said nothing and did nothing to try to prevent the attack because he knew the attack would provide him popularity as a wartime president, if he could prevent the public from learning that he knew something was about to happen and would not allow any effort to prevent the attack.
The Clinton team prevented numerous terrorist attacks, despite the extreme continuos harassment without justification by Republicans and the news media, but he received no credit thereof.  Have you noticed that the news media only mentions Bush's illegal activities only once, yet they had a continuos barrage of news regarding Clinton activities that were exaggerated 1000%.
Bush must be held accountable for not making any effort to prevent a terrorist attack since he had enough warnings that an attack was imminent and that commercial airlines were a likely part.  Bush must be held responsible for the death of almost 3,000 9/11 deaths.  Bush is not a wartime hero, he is just the opposite.
There is substantial evidence that he violated the Federal insider stock selling law, including a letter from Harken's lawyer, just before Bush's Harken stock sale, warning them not to sell stock due to the insider trading law.   The letter was discovered and reported 11-3-02 by the Washington Post and a 20 second mention on CBS News.  During Bush, Sr. term in office, the SEC did a phony investigation of Thief Bush.
While Governor of Texas, Bush received approximately $13,000,000 as a bonus (bribe) for building a stadium for the Texas Rangers ball club.  This was over and above his share of the sale of the ball club in the amount of $1,800,000.  This was extremely illegal and unethical.
Bush is obsessed with starting a war with Iraq despite the fact that he dodged war service during the Vietnam war, was he a coward or what?  Bush policy: war is OK as long as someone else's sons and daughters are being killed?
Democrats should have had people in the audience at each of Bush's campaign appearances peppering him with questions about these events in the same manner that the Republicans did Dukakis in 1988 and Ted Kennedy in 1980.  Focusing this attention on Bush would have produced a landslide victory for Democrats.
I wonder how many millions of our tax dollars he illegally spent on his huge number of campaign trips.
Our Democratic lawmakers have been falling all over themselves to act like Republicans and voting for Republican scams,. ie, the tax cut for the rich, etc.  I hope this election teaches them that acting like Republicans turns off Democratic voters and that Republicans will never vote for Democrats, so they lose their next election.
We have to articulate proposals that will solve whatever problems arise instead of just opposing Republican scams, or voting for Republican scams.  If we develop better solutions and adequately aggressively inform the public, the public will appreciate our efforts and vote to re-elect Democrats and vote against Republicans who blocked our beneficial efforts.
We must develop large strong aggressive grassroot local parties and aggressively search for and encourage qualified Democrats, based on background investigations and knowledge of economics, to run for offices and provide considerable financial campaign assistance.  The Democratic Party needs to require and provide a course in "Real World Economics", political campaign training, and fund raising (until and if we go to government financing campaigns), before commencing a Democratic campaign.
We must communicate with our candidates and elected officials and make them know what they need to do to receive our initial support and continued support.
I offered several items that would have produced landslide wins but they were ignored and most probably never got past the candidates' screeners.  Each item was and is available to the public on this website or www.rojego.com.
One item was a method to eliminate our unemployment problem which was an editorial which you may examine from this website, click on Archive Editorials, then click on openltrtoclelandmill..,  using no-cost tax credits instead of deficit explosive tax cuts.
Bush's tax cuts will have virtually no effect on increasing employment, but it will do two things, 1. make the super rich richer and, 2. explode the Federal debt.
We need to pay off our Federal debt then make tax cuts.  Paying off the Federal debt would eliminate approximately $240 billion dollars, or more, annual interest cost and would justify a huge tax cut.
It is ironic that Republicans never complain about the huge annual interest cost on the Federal debt they created, but they vigorously complain about the cost of welfare to people unable to work, which is only a fraction of the interest cost on the Republican exploded Federal debt.
One item was a rock solid proposal to convert our less than poverty level Social Security retirement income to a rich retirement without extra Social Security taxes or extra investments.
One was some proposals to eliminate the defects and corruption in our judicial system, which has frequently been convicting innocent people instead of the criminals, allowing them to continue their crime activities.  Example: the 13 deathrow inmates recently released in Illinois due to DNA tests proving they did not commit the crimes for which they were convicted, as well as ripping off millions of people in civil court.
We must quit tiptoeing around Bush and Cheney criminal activities and start an intensive investigation similar to the 8 year investigation against President Clinton and prosecute Bush and Cheney for corporate criminal activity plus Bush's misuse of Texas tax money and acceptance of the $13,000,000 bribe for building the stadium for the Texas Rangers ball club.
Democrats need to find some way to remove from office the 5 crooked Republican Supreme Court Justices.  Their flagrant abuse of power by helping Bush steal the presidency should not go unpunished.
If Democrats had not been afraid to bring Bush to task, even before the Bush inauguration, Al Gore would be our sitting president and the American public would have 90% representation instead of today's 10% representation scheduled for the next two years.
Democrats, please stop voting for Bush scams, act like Democrats, and do your jobs that need to be done.  You will regain respect and gain more votes.  The time to start is right now.  If you wait until election time, it won't work.
