Mr. Wooten, your opinion in 8-29-04 AJC supporting the Swift Boat Liars Club indicates that you are a "Duck-Back Republican Groupie" who ignores facts, leaves out necessary facts, or just fabricate your own "facts". Or perhaps you do not understand real world political economics.
You should go to http://www.c-span.org/2004vote/jkerrytestimony.asp and read the 1971 testimony to the U.S Senate Committee of John Kerry and you will realize that John Kerry is far better qualified to be president than Bush who, according to his own admission, boozed and snoozed his way through his education. Then go to www.jeffgoolsby.net and read some facts based on facts. Bush blunders on everything he does. Bush's Iraq invasion is like a bull in a china shop, but then what could you expect from a "Boozer Snoozer".
By the end of the 2005 fiscal year, which will be Bush's budget, Bush will have increased the Federal debt $2 trillion dollars in 4 years (Reagan $2 trillion in 8 years) and will have borrowed $1.3 trillion dollars for payment on the Federal debt.
We have an increase of 10,000,000 population since Bush stole the presidency, which requires at least 6,000,000 new jobs. Instead Bush is 1,500,000 short of replacing the jobs he lost due to his mishandling the economy, making a total of 7,500,000 jobs short. The 1998 Republican Congress repealed the Roosevelt anti monopolistic public corporation law causing the merger mania disaster. This caused the phony public corporation income statements to raise merger money, plus Bush's refusal to place military guards on commercial airline flights produced a loss of almost 3,000,000 jobs.
No one but someone economically illiterate would believe Bush's "Fat Cat" tax cuts would create any significant number of jobs. President Clinton proved that a "Fat Cat" tax increase produced jobs. The 1,500,000 jobs recovered were due to depleted inventories, additional needs for 10,000,000 population increase, and replacing the huge amount of military equipment and materials consumed in his illegal invasion of Iraq.
Bush claims that he has made America safer, which is a farce. With 6,200,000,000 people on earth, approximately 5,000,000,000 people are afraid of Bush's war mongering, which has helped Osama bin Laden tremendously in his recruitment efforts to increase his terrorist activities against Americans wherever the terrorist can find them. Most of that hatred is focused on Bush at this time but if he succeeds in flimflamming the voters and remains in office 4 more years, that hatred will be aimed at all Americans for being stupid enough to elect Bush.
