Bush Bumbling Foreign Policy
Creating Problems With Foreign Supporters
Editorial by Jeff Goolsby, Editor
Bush's foreign policy bumbling is creating dissension with our foreign sympathizers. Citizens from 60 foreign countries were either killed or injured by Osama bin Laden, and their countries became very sympathetic to our effort to exterminate terrorism. If you carefully examine Bush's rhetoric, it is clear that he wants to make it a long war, which is contrary to the wishes and interests of foreign sympathizers.
All real Americans support our war effort causing Bush to appear to have tremendous popularity. Obviously, he reasons that if he can make it a long war and maintain his current war effort popularity, he can actually win a presidential election instead of stealing it with the help of his 5 member extremely biased Supreme Court team.
One thing that is conspicuous by its absence is that the news media does not focus on Bush's avoiding military service during the Vietnam war since they spent a great deal of time writing articles about President Clinton's lack of military service during the Vietnam war. The news media and Republican talk show spin doctors caused most military personnel to dislike President Clinton because of his lack of military service. Yet, they do not seem to mind that Bush avoided serving in the military at the same time. Bush's drunkenness at the time appears to have prevented him from having any real understanding of wars and how they must be fought.
According to one news report an Arab Muslim woman was rescued from the ninth floor of the World Trade Center by the New York police and firemen. Immediately after her rescue, her son purchased a plane ticket to Pakistan. He said that he was going to Afghanistan to join Osama bin Laden and would kill every American he saw. There appears to be a gap in the Muslim religion that allows religious fanatic serial murderers like Osama bin Laden to inspire other Muslims to have a desire to become murderers. Surely there must be some sane American Muslims that could speak out loudly against this murder attitude. They should try to persuade their relatives living in the Arabic countries to realize that murder is wrong and certainly God does not want them to murder people with different religious beliefs.
Obviously, we have a very serious public relations job of persuading Muslims to fix their apparent religious defect of allowing religious fanatic murderers like Osama bin Laden to convert thousands of Muslims into murderers. With many Muslims siding with Osama, we non-Muslims and American Muslims are at risk because we have somewhere between 3,000,000 and 6,000,000 Muslims living in this country. It is virtually impossible to detect Osama bin Laden fanatics.
If this war against terrorism is unnecessarily lengthened as Bush continues to say that it will be a long war, more and more Muslims will become alienated and decide to side with Osama. This will increase the danger of terrorism instead of reducing the danger.
We need to make a quick push to end the war in Afghanistan. We need to terminate Osama bin Laden and his terrorist network quickly and help a sane minded leader take the reins of government in Afghanistan. Helping the exiled king regain his position might be the best effort on our part. Then get out of Afghanistan quickly.
We need to continue our effort of a worldwide push to eliminate terrorist until all of them are brought to justice or exterminated. We need to help the new government in Afghanistan to rebuild their economy and teach them how to have an economy similar to our economy.
Clearly, much hatred toward America is caused by extreme poverty and jealousy. If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach him how to fish, you feed him for life.
The American Democrats and the Unions created the middle class citizen in America as a result of the Republican Hoover Depression which broke the strangle hold of the Republican party in Washington. This combined with Ellis Arnold, Governor of Georgia 1943 - 1947, making the final winning of the Freight Rate War (Civil War) by getting the Federal law repealed that required double freight rates for anything manufactured in the South and shipped North. The middle class phenomenon then spread to Canada, Europe, and Japan after World War II.
If the average Muslim in Arabic countries could have a job making a comfortable living as in America, they would lose their jealousy and hatred of America. It is worthy of note that the countries we fought in WWII developed middle class citizens with our help and it is extremely unlikely that any one of them would have any desire to lose our friendship today.
