Stop The Mad
          Cow(boy) Disease
                    By Jeff Goolsby, Editor

On Saturday February 15, 2003, millions of people worldwide showed their extreme dissatisfaction with President Bush's obsession with starting a war with Saddam Hussein.  One of the things that stood out to me was signs saying "Stop The Mad Cowboy Disease".
Mr. Bush is stumbling and bungling his job like a bull in a china shop which in of itself has some similarity to cows stumbling with the mad cow disease.  It seems that he thinks that he has been elected ruler of the world, when in fact he was not "elected" president of the United States because the final unofficial vote count in Florida, based on Florida law, gave Al Gore the most Florida votes and Florida's 25 electoral votes.  Bush was appointed president by 5 Republicans in the U.S. Supreme Court overruling Florida law without justification.
Bush's obsession with killing Saddam has cost us dearly with the terrorist problem because Saddam did not present an immediate danger to us.  Obviously, Bush's extreme focus on Saddam created a lack of adequate focus on Osama and Al Qaeda because he had the opportunity to destroy the heart of Al Qaeda.
Bush has severely bungled the war against Osama bin Laden.  We have the expertise and equipment to have wiped out Osama bin Laden and his terrorist team and prevented his escape from Afghanistan.  We could have sent guided missiles with video cameras using night vision lenses attached to robots into all of the caves in Afghanistan and eliminated Osama bin Laden and his entire team.
We could have guarded the Afghanistan borders with planes, helicopters, satellites, and portable ground troops both day and night using night vision lenses while we were using guided missiles in the caves. This would have prevented Osama bin Laden's escape.
The massing of our huge sophisticated military equipment and trained personnel to fight Saddam, which was delivered to Bush by President Clinton, is proof positive that we could have completely wiped out the Osama bin Laden team in Afghanistan instead of the current failed effort.
We stood the Soviet Union down and won without killing any of them or us.   Saddam does not have a fraction of the power that the Soviet Union possessed.  We could have stood Saddam down without a war killing any of us or them.
Bush claims to be a Christian but instead he is a warmonger hypocrite, not too different from Saddam.  Millions of people worldwide believe that Bush is more dangerous than Saddam.
Since it appears that Osama did escape, he is clearly planning additional destruction against the United States.  If Osama and his top terrorist planners and leaders had been eliminated, it would have reduced our risk tremendously because of the lack of leadership and money for terrorist activities.
Even though Saddam appeared to have a dislike for Osama, he will most likely provide Osama with every possible weapon of mass destruction because both of them hate Bush.  Since Bush is blatantly attempting to start a war with Saddam, Bush is creating additional hatred by Muslims for himself and all Americans.
War with Saddam would definitely create and avalanche of terrorist attacks against us beyond what would have occurred otherwise.  If Saddam reaches the realization that he is a goner, he will create all of the havoc possible, including setting fire to all of the Iraqi oil wells, creating an environmental disaster.
According to one news article, prior to VP Cheney joining the Bush campaign team, Cheney had recently sold $73,000,000 worth of military equipment to Saddam and was lobbying Washington trying to stop the embargo against Iraq.  It is ironic that Cheney is now one of the hawks vigorously trying to start a war with Saddam.  Furthermore, Cheney's equipment may very well kill some of our soldiers.
The Bush bungling bumbling spewing hatred toward Saddam makes it now absolutely necessary that we either disarm Saddam with the UN inspectors or start the war that Bush deliberately and maliciously made necessary.
The timing of the weather is not important enough for us to kill a huge number of innocent Iraqis as well as many of our military personnel.  We could wait another year if necessary to give the UN inspectors adequate time to complete their job.
American citizens should put enough pressure on Bush that he will back off and give the UN inspectors enough time to complete their inspections, and peacefully disarming Saddam if at all possible without the huge bloodshed and likely environmental disaster.
